Other Helpful Resources
The MODx community is without question one of its strengths. It's friendly, courteous and always ready 24/7 to lend a helping hand. We truly do welcome new users ("noobs") and most questions are answered promptly, with courtesy and in incredible detail. If you are looking for a solution that's not covered in the FAQ or Documentation, our MODx community forums are known for providing insightful solutions to almost any need, and are almost always filled with helpful, long-standing community members even including the original project founders and core developers.
Documentation
MODx has been called a stunningly capable content management framework that is fast to start with but also incredibly capable once you start poking under the hood. As one of our core development goals, we try to not force you into any particular development or content structure paradigms. Typically speaking, if you can imagine it, you almost certainly can build it in MODx. If you want to learn more about MODx, then our community authored wiki Documentation is where you should start. You'll even find helpful entries in more than one language.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I do this in MODx? How much does it cost? How do I submit a fix for a bug in the code? Who developed MODx? You'll find answers in our FAQ to questions just like these—and you can also submit questions and answers which should be there as well.
Reporting Bugs & Requesting Features
While in a perfect world our code would serve your every need and be 100% certified bug free, we're not quite there yet. If you've found what appears to be a repeatable bug that can be documented or have a suggestion for making MODx your content management tool of choice, then our bug and issue tracker is the place to go.
Internet Relay Chat (IRC)
For the geek elite looking for more spontaneous and realtime interaction, you can find answers fast, get feedback, and even get a virtual tour guide to point you in the right direction by visiting our IRC channel on freenode.net. Just join #modx and you'll find a growing list of #modx frequenters even with the occasional visit from the lead developers and project founders.
